Star Trek - Lighten Up - By Singer/Songwriter ML/LTOS

https://youtu.be/XUrWbNSYOus

For Spock.

ML/LTOS is someone I met on another group who asked if I'd work to her music. She actually sold a song to Bonnie Raitt. Met her for lunch and she's a wonderful woman. Now teaches. Have never had the experience of having someone sing to us throughout lunch, and loved every minute of it.

... ... ...
The last nail in your coffin
Was driven home last night
I just wanted to get things straight
You just wanted to fight.
You don't get the picture
With such a narrow view
Look beyond your agenda
I'm reaching out to you

Lighten up, you're making a mistake.
Lighten up, if you don't bend you'll break.
Seeing your world crumbling
Can be so very humbling
When will you give us all a break?
... ... ...
You're drowning in suspicion
Of things that don't quite fit
Into your tiny vision
Of who and what is legit.
It's hard to leave the comfort
Of your self-imposed exile
It wouldn't be that difficult
To shrug it off with a smile

Lighten up, you're making a mistake.
Lighten up, if you don't bend you'll break.
Seeing your world crumbling
Can be so very humbling
When will you give us all a break?
. ... ...
Lighten up, you're making a mistake.
Lighten up, if you don't bend you'll break.
Seeing your world crumbling
Can be so very humbling
When will you give us all a break?

Induction of the Star Trek main characters and Larry King into the NAB Hall of Fame

I attended the 1992 NAB convention and videotaped the induction of the Star Trek main characters into the National Association of Broadcasters' Hall of Fame. This is just that part of the ceremony. Handheld. Don't think any other fans were there, and doubt this ceremony has ever seen the light of day before. Only wish I could have gotten away with a tripod during the luncheon. Lots of chewing in the raw footage, as well as Larry King's induction and Don Rickles' roast of him.

Extreme video closet cleaning - an updated Star Trek - My Way - Funny

I've had this on my list to do forever and never really thought i'd do it.  I used one scene from it in the My Way - Series video and that sort of stopped me from redoing the original.  Well, I got over it.  For the first time in 33 years, it's updated and on YouTube.

If you're into computers or interested in computer history, I've also put up 51 videos under Computer History.

There's only about 3 or so left to add.  These were projects at the start of what we're familiar with - 1988-1996.  Things like a music video of video playing on a computer screen!!!!  So new that we put it out with bugs in the video.  I used a lot of my music videos as the video running on the screen.  It amazes me to go back and remember what it was like when screens were black and type was green.

And if you love art and nudes, check out a music video of the book I was given at age 10.

"Can Gene Roddenberry Learn Anything From Terry Nation" by Edi Bjorklund - video

Edi Bjorklund's 20 minute academic talk - "Can Gene Roddenberry Learn Anything From Terry Nation"

Around 1987 Edi made this tape of her talk and sent it to me to illustrate with video, leaving black gaps at the time for her to use to catch up if she spoke too fast or too slow.  Over the last weeks I've filled in all the gaps and updated the images.  There was little I could do with the very old audio.  It's very pro Blakes 7 as I had just seduced her into the fandom, to the Nome editor's everlasting dismay.

Edi died in 2005, years after she suffered a massive stroke that stopped her from working or creating in fandom as Flora Poste.  I've wanted to do this forever in order to honor her, and I am just so pleased to have finally gotten it done.

Best, Mary
